The much-anticipated official opening of the new learning facility at Our Lady of the Rosary, Shelly Beach took place on Thursday, September 25th. This event marked a significant commitment to education by the Catholic Schools Broken Bay Diocese. The Most Rev. Anthony Randazzo, Bishop of Broken Bay, officiated the opening and blessing of the new spaces.

The impressive project includes the construction of 15 new classrooms and a refurbishment of the library. This initiative represents a substantial investment in the future of our students and the community.

The project was made possible through the generous joint funding of $3,031,850.00 from the New South Wales Government Building Grant Assistance Scheme, and an impressive $7,464,595.16 from Catholic Schools Broken Bay. The total cost of the Shelly Beach project amounted to $10,496,445.16.

Glendenning Szoboszlay Architects, RP Infrastructure, Steve-Watt Construction and the Broken Bay Diocese worked collaboratively with the school principal, Mrs. Yvette Owens. The synergy with the facilities team, builders, architects, and government officials ensured meticulous planning, foresight in addressing challenges, and the provision of timely advice and solutions to turn the vision into a reality.

This project stands as a testament to what can be achieved through collaboration and dedication, paving the way for a brighter educational future for our students.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Mr Danny Casey, Director of Catholic Schools Broken Bay, Fr Brian Moloney, Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Rosary, The Entrance, Fr Rosan Mathew and Deacon Paul for contributing to the celebration of this milestone for the school and parish.
