Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, Wyoming, had the honour of welcoming NSW Premier Mr Chris Minns, Member for The Entrance – David Mehan, and Member for Gosford – Liesl Tesch. This special visit was the result of a heartfelt invitation from our students, who wrote to Premier Minns, inviting him to experience their school community firsthand.
CSBB Director of Schools, Danny Casey, alongside Principal, Mr. Bernard Cummings and Rev Fr Anthony Peter De Souza, warmly greeted the Premier and his team.
During his visit, Premier Minns spoke to our students about the vital role of leadership and governance. The experience was truly inspiring for our student community. Kai, a Year 6 student, confidently asked Premier Minns what he would change in NSW if given the chance. In response, both Premier Minns and Liesl Tesch highlighted the urgent need to reduce the domestic violence rate in NSW, sharing their plans to collaborate with our local Mariners to raise awareness and foster community engagement on this critical issue.
Our Year 6 students were deeply appreciative of this special opportunity to ask questions and gain meaningful insight into the responsibilities of government leadership. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Premier Minns, David Harris, and Liesl Tesch for taking the time to inspire our future leaders.
Danny Casey travelled for the occasion and spent time in the classrooms engaging with both our students and staff. Our Lady of the Rosary had an impactful day of learning and a memory of a lifetime!
