What inspired your path into education?

My path into education was inspired by the idea that teaching can shape minds, ignite curiosity, and empower individuals to reach their full potential. There’s a genuine fulfilment in being a part of a child’s learning journey, helping them navigate the world of knowledge and discover their own potential. There is real joy in instilling a love for learning.

How do you engage parents/ carers, students and staff?

Communication is key. Creating an open and collaborative environment where everyone feels heard and valued is crucial. Actively encouraging parents to participate in school events fosters a sense of partnership in the education journey. It is important to create a culture where staff members and students feel comfortable sharing ideas, concerns, and insights.

How does your faith impact your leadership style?

My Catholic faith teaches me about compassion, understanding, and the importance of serving others. These principles naturally find their way into my leadership style. It’s about leading with empathy, creating a supportive community, and being a source of inspiration for both students and colleagues.

If we asked your closest friends, how would they describe you as a person?

Authentic, compassionate, loyal, nurturing and caring, with a good sense of humour.

What do you hope to achieve as Principal at your school?

My goal would be to create an environment where learning is not just a task but a journey—one filled with excitement, discovery, and growth. I want to see students and staff alike reach their full potential and leave a mark by fostering a culture of excellence and kindness.

What will you hope to leave as your legacy in education leadership?

I hope to leave behind a legacy of empowerment. I want to inspire a love for learning, instil confidence in students and staff, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture. For me, it’s not only about leaving behind educated minds but empowered individuals ready to make a difference in the world.
