The NSWPSSA Netball Championships, held in Penrith late last month, resulted in 3-way tie for top place, this was a first in PSSA’s proud 125 year history. Polding, CIS and Sydney North shared first place at the end of the 3 day competition.
Thirteen teams from all over NSW competed against each other and from these a squad of 12 girls was selected to represent NSW; 4 of whom played for Polding – Mikaela (St Patrick’s Asquith), Erin (St Cecilia’s Wyong), Shae & Milla (St Mary’s Toukley)
“At first I did not believe it,” Mikaela said when describing how she felt when she heard her name announced as a member of the NSW team. “There were heaps of talented players there, so I was surprised to hear them say my name.”
These sporting champions look forward to playing the game they love at a national level, and meeting competitors from all over Australia during the 5 day competition being held in Queensland from August 31 – September 5, 2015.
