Broken Bay teachers recognised in special Mass

March 12, 2015

Over 700 staff from Catholic Schools across the Diocese of Broken Bay came together last week for a special Mass for the start of the 2015 school year. Held at the Light of Christ Centre, Waitara, Bishop Peter Comensoli celebrated the Mass and was given a pin by the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Broken Bay, to welcome him as part of the team.  In addition to welcoming all new teachers and staff members those who had given 25 years of service were acknowledged and presented with a special award at the Mass.

“I felt the occasion was a wonderful celebration of the solidarity of school staff in our ministry within the Diocese,” said Peter Hamill, Director of Catholic School Office. “I thank Bishop Peter for celebrating the Mass and for the challenge he put to us all to be missionaries for the Church and that we be ‘conspicuous for Christ and explicitly Catholic’.”
