Gosford High School and Central Coast Grammar School are the Central Coast’s top performing NAPLAN schools in 2024.
An independent analysis of newly-released 2024 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the Year 5 and Year 9 tests.
Central Coast Grammar School, in Erina Heights, had the best primary results than any other school in the area, scoring an average of 550.4.
Central Coast Steiner School in Fountaindale was the second best for the region with an average score of 541.8, while Pretty Beach Public School in Pretty Beach was the third best with an average score of 540.0.
Central Coast Grammar School was the second best for the region with an average score of 624.4, while Wyong Christian Community School was the third best with an average score of 595.8.
To determine how each school performed in 2024, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (Yr 5 or Yr 9) were combined and the average found.
Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.
The figures were independently compiled from the Federal Government’s MySchool website.
The top performing secondary school was Gosford High School, in Gosford, where the average result was 673.4.
