Teachers at Mercy Catholic College, Chatswood have been busy preparing for the launch of their 1:1 College Chromebook programme in 2016. This programme will see each student in Year 7 and Year 10 receive and take responsibility for a Dell Chromebook for use in their learning.
As part of the preparation for the Chromebook Programme classroom teachers recently participated in a range of professional learning experiences that focussed on the effective use of Google Classroom as a tool that will help connect students to learning resources, curriculum materials and a range of on-line assessment opportunities.
This professional learning experience also included opportunities for teachers to access the Google Classroom – Basics on-line course, an inter-diocesan collaboration initiative, hosted by the
Catholic Education Network (CEnet).
