Holy Family Art Festival

April 17, 2015

On 14 and 15 March, Holy Family Catholic School at Lindfield held their annual Art Festival. Now in its 39th year, the Holy Family Art Festival is one of the best-known art shows on the North Shore, and shows a range of artworks from the traditional to the contemporary. This year, the Art Festival welcomed a significant number of new and emerging artists, as well as welcoming back artists and galleries who have exhibited before. The show also presented a programme of art events, Artist Encounters, which included presentations and demonstrations from a number of artists including Dana Dion. Born in Israel, Dana lived in Tel Aviv, London, Los Angeles and Vancouver, but only began to paint seriously when she moved to Australia in 2004. Since then, she has made a name for herself in the art world, showing her contemporary works around the world and winning many art prizes. Holy Family school principal, Lou Dogao, said, “The Holy Family Art Festival is always a wonderful day out for the whole family, with rides, kids’ craft, gourmet food, coffee and market stalls.”
