Hooked!

December 5, 2016

Ninety-one families and teachers took part in the event, which was designed to get kids outside to spend quality time with their families.

“We didn’t catch any fish but that didn’t phase the boys at all – they genuinely loved the whole experience,” said Rachael Kelleher, who went fishing with her two sons. “We’ll definitely be heading out again – such a great initiative.”

Photos submitted by parents and friends allowed them to enter a prize draw for over $1500 worth of prizes. Photos were displayed at the school and the children enjoyed seeing their friends and classmates on the wall.

The event ended with a barbeque and prize draw on Sunday 27 November, where kids compared stories about “the one that got away”!
