Maria Regina Primary School has two bands, the Training Band (Years 3 & 4) and Concert Band (Years 4, 5 & 6) both which performed for the residents at the Pittwater Palms Retirement Village.
Band Captains Harrison Schaut and Aiden Mckechnie introduced the Bands and their musical pieces which were played with much enthusiasm under the leadership of the school’s band conductor, Claire Belford.
The students’ musicianship was applauded by the audience which was made up of the retirement village residents, teachers, parents and siblings of the students.
School Principal, Kathy Gee thanked all at Pittwater Palms for their warm hospitality and said she was very proud of the students.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea and cold drinks, kindly provided by the Pittwater Palms and the students mingled with the audience, sharing information about their instruments and exchanging experiences.
