NSW Training Awards

September 17, 2018

“Last Wednesday evening I had the opportunity to attend the 2018 NSW Training Awards in the magnificent venue of the Sydney Town Hall. It was a great celebration of excellence and outstanding achievements in vocational education across the State.”

“Vocational education delivers important skills students require for the world of work, and life, at present and into the future, including digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, adaptability and resilience.”

“Three outstanding young people had been nominated for the NSW VET in Schools Student of the Year award: a young man from Farrer Agricultural High School, and two young women from Catholic schools, including Emma Peat from St Peter’s Catholic College, Tuggerah Lakes. Congratulations to all those recognised for their excellence, and especially to Emma Peat, and the teacher, Pauline Dibb, VET co-ordinator at St Peter’s who nominated her for the award.”
