Solid wave performance at surfing titles

Surfer Harley Ross Webster will represent St Paul’s Catholic College at Manly in the under-19 Boys New South Wales State School Surfing Titles in July after his recent victory at Cronulla beach.

Harley has been crowned the Sydney School Senior Boys Regional Surfing Champion of 2014 after competing alongside three other local competitors, among 80 senior surfers, who were surfing in the three-day event. There were 70 competitors in the junior division.

Students from St Paul’s competed in both divisions with Corey Ross Webster, Alex Hayes, Harley Ross Webster and Will Sloman all reaching the quarter finals.

Corey Ross Webster finished in third place after progressing to the semi-finals at Cronulla.

Harley had been sitting in third place with 15 minutes of competition remaining before posting a score of 9.25 four minutes before the competition ended, placing him in first place.
