Secondary school teams with 1 to 1 iPads benefited from a half day workshop with Abdul Chophan from the Essa Academy in the UK, a school transformed by the use of good pedagogy and personal learning devices. Abdul who is on an international tour sponsored by Apple offered the workshop focussing on Designing Learning with iTunes U.
The iTunes U app lets students download all of the materials they need when they are connected to Wi-Fi which means learning and studying can happen anywhere, at any time, with just an iPad. Teachers can add to and update a course at any time with ITunes U so their lessons stay relevant and automatic push notifications get sent through the app to keep students informed of changes and updates.
